hi all how goes??

i live down in dorset, got a freelander exdi (L-series) and i do use and abuse it!!!! dont like seeing it clean unlike the women on the school run that seem to think they only do stop or 40mph!

done a bit of greenlaning and a bit of technical driving, i tend to push the hippo a hell of a lot harder on and offroad then what was ever intended!

as with all of em ive had / got my fiar share of issues so thought its about time i signed up and got a bit more involved!

see ya

Hello there and welcome along.

Go to see someone using a Freelander off road. I've seen a couple used in trials and comp safaris so they are not all bad as some think :)

lol,, mines great offroad, ive got deep treads on front but road tyres on the rear as i kept having sort of accidental sideways issues on roundabouts with all round deep treads! only issue is offroad i get some side slipping on the rear but just put my foot down a bit more and that solves it!

(best not mention of pulled a few disco;s out of the mud lol)

ratty, im in dorchester with a now very dead freelander :D cambelt snapped yesterday!!

That aint playing the game. Fingers crossed for you.:doh::doh:

Keep your eyes open for the S*L*U*T*S. We tend to play around Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset.

yep, they certainly can, the trick is drive them like your an icelandic hill climbing pro and gun it....... get to the end then check for damage,,,,

ive always suffered from the same things which is breaking rear diff mounts but this is due to the lazyness of me never fitting a decent guard onto it! tends to hold its own fairly well as yesterday proved,,, had a 110 in front of me and kept up fine although my ride was a bit more harsh. scraped the underside once and took a massive hit to the diff again.,, the driver of the vouge behind me was shocked by how hard it was to keep up with it, and how well it dug itself out of the messy stuff
