Hi everyone, great looking site, just thought I would introduce myself, as you can probably guess from the user name I'm called Andy and I live in Blackpool. Well I am now looking for my first Range Rover Classic for off roading and day to day use. I was just wondering which is the best to go for? 3.5 v8 3.9 v8 or tdi? Also manual or auto? I will also be doing a fair bit of caravan towing. Thanks in advance

its a personal choice, but i'd have a manual diesel everytime

v8 10-14 mpg
tdi 28-32 mpg

If I go for a V8 I will be fitting an LPG kit to it if I dont manage to find one with one already fitted as my mate has a kit that will fit it. I am used to low MPG's as I had a 1998 BMW 740i which is what I have just sold to fund a RR, I was going to go for a p38 but I think I would prefer a classic.
