Thats your second mistake - buying bits from halfrauds. Plenty of good supplies on interweb for all parts. Just ask on here.

Your first mistake was buying a FL1 🤣
Just kidding - we love them round here.

Part number looks right. Not sure why it has what looks like a date of 2010>, as F1 stopped in 06.

Think you'll find that is probably Oct 2000 - ie for the vented brakes.

Would be better to use VIN numbers.

Is piston right back ? Did you open bleed valve when winding piston back to avoid damaging the ABS modulator seals? If you don't do that the seals fight you and you can't get piston right back. Are the slide pins free and working to allow the caliper holder to slide freely and allow both pads to work properly?

They look like the correct pads.

Halfords were cheaper for drop links by a fiver compared to euro car parts. That was before trade card discount.
Check your part number with advanced factors we site.

Hi,

FL1 TD4 ? The pads references seems good.

When you put the new brake pads, they should fit easily, if not you have forgot do some cleaning.

Regards.

I bought plugs, leads, coil pack and water pump from Halfords for my Focus.
Far cheaper than Eurocarparts and more convenient, I was also surprised. (Exact same parts)

Thanks for feeding back solution. It helps others if the title says something about the problem and also has 'Solved' in it when Solved. Title can be edited by person posting.
