Hi all i feel i will be here a lot just bought my first Landrover pity i didn't see this site first as i have just been ripped off by Yanthelandyman and if i had read this first i would of known who he is.
Oh well decided to do keep it anyway and do the weld all the hidden holes and find out where all the leaks are coming from water into the car and oil out of the engine.

Hello welcome sorry to hear that but you be able to sort it and you'll love it they great vehicles which landy did you get put pic on once you worked it out

I do like the car and can hopefully fix it otherwise i would be straight back there it appears more complicated than my old ldv convoy but there seems to be most of the info online and in this forum luckily i have a welder
I work out the photo now thanks

Tried the upload photo keeps telling me it's not supported tried png jpeg gave up
Its a 98 discovery ES Premium well so the sticker on the side says it leaks oil the back windows don't open and i cant get it into diff lock

Look tidy check relays under cubby box or fuses for rear windows diff lock check linkages on transfer box

tried the fuse didn't know about the relay will look at that
something online about soldering a circuit board behind the glove box too
it is tidy i would of bought it anyway for less money if i had a proper look but really it should have been listed as spares or repair not "A good solid discovery." Lets hope i caught it in time to learn how to fix it lol
first thing is the engine and work out how to check if the cambelt looks old
At least there is a reciept for a service a few months ago at £260 i doubt they checked the cam belt though for that price

As it turns out i got £400 back to pay for welding he can be reasoned with
so it looks like i am keeping the discovery it did take me 3 hours to compose a letter to him though no point arguing over the phone.
