Hiya everyone, been meaning to get on here for a while, heard some good things about landyzone, i'm Tony from b'ham, i drive and play in a disco TD5 with a few toys on it, still plenty to do, looking to get a 2" lift on her if poss, but i've been hearing a few horror stories about cost and whats involved, hope everyone is well and might see you at billing :)

Hi Tony welcome,
regarding 2" lift what stories have you heard, is it SLS or Coils, would help if we knew what we are dealing with, i have 2" lift on mine, no problems upto now.
lets know which and we'll take it from there.

Hiya cruiser, i had the sls taken off and replaced with coils, i'd like to give it a 2" lift now, but i'm hearing stories about having to change propshafts and radius arms, i know i'd have to change the brake lines for extended ones, what else would i have to change? And what about the added weight i have with front winch bumper and rear heavy duty bumper, rock sliders etc ?

All you would need to do is the springs front and rear make sure there heavy duty, you would need them with the extra weight, front and rear +2" shocks, will top out going off road without them, and extended hoses, thats all i did to mine, no problems up to now.:)

why did you take SLS off ?

cheers cruiser, i'll see if i can sweet talk 'she who must be obeyed', the sls was taken off becos both bags were shot to pieces when i bought it, and at the time it my disco was having a lot of work done and it was suggested by the ' landrover specialist' to convert it to coils, thanks for your help mate..
