Hi all, I'm a new member from a rainy town called Gainsborough in Lincolnshire, England. I'm new to the LR scene with my recent purchase of a 2006 Freelander 1 Td4 sport. (2.0L TD BMW engine), my researched has told me this is the " favourable" engine to go for. She's done 200k and I must say I'm impressed!! Starts first turn of the key, has had new air hoses fitted, I recently removed EGR and fitted bypass kit, seems a little thirsty but I suspect a slight diesel leak from hosing. Aside from that I'm thinking just a good quality service will see her good. I have a reasonable knowledge with regards cars and previously spent 18months in a garage carrying out pre and post MOT work and servicing. My only restriction is I'm limited to working at ground level!! To anyone out there with a good knowledge of Freelanders can you let me know of the different mods/advance replacements to be made to such a vehicle?? My aim is to bring her up to scratch and have her as the best example going on the road. Thanks all!!

Welcome aboard :)

I don't know much about FL's - but one of the FL folk will be along shortly to assist.;)

Have you got any pics - we like pics - always good in an intro thread :)

Afternoon all, photos to follow shortly, point taken with the gender mishap, I was wondering what they were hanging underneath . Its already known as Big Fat Four Wheel Drive taken from the reg plate. Aesthetics require attention. Liking the motoring need to get to work on servicing.
