Hey there,

Im now proud to say that I finally own a landy. she was a bit of a pain but she should be completed for a mot next Wednesday

.

if anybody has any experience with a discovery series 2 1998 4.0L v8 manual (common problems, parts ect) please let me know so I can look out for them.

Got the same myself, only had it about a year, I use it for towing my cattle box. Been completely trouble free, except one of the battery terminals came loose a while back.

It's only on a trailer so he can achieve that classic 'broken Landy' look

Only really use it with heavy trailers, cant really comment on the vehicle on its own.

Probably about 15-18, maybe a bit more on a flat road cruising steady about 58 mph.
Most of the roads here are slow steep and twisty, even a diesel would struggle to get much over 20-22mpg, at a guess.

The auto-box sorts everything out and keeps the revs more steady than hammering up and down manual box!

I don't really worry about it, I only use it for towing, it did about 2200 miles last year, I think.

They do sound nice, turns heads when we turn up in it.

Hey there. I know this should be in sales and wanted but can't post there at the moment.

Does anybody know where i could get a front bumper for it(any colour will do for now)??. Need one by Wednesday and i cant seem to find any.

Rare as hens teeth, according to my mate who is a lr breaker.

I patched mine up for MOT using epoxy putty and fibreglass. It had been repaired before, and I could see where it was letting go again. I think they degrade pretty badly in sunlight, texture of it was more like chalk than plastic!

Yep sounds about right.

Rightio I shall have a look tomorrow. I have heard of that method but it is quite a big area tho

. already got the ductape out for the rear.

Nice one! Result.

I think you will enjoy that, I like mine, it wasn't a lot of money, and it is quite useful. Good for towing, and the load space is huge. We sometimes use it as a people carrier too, when the girls are all here.
