We only had a quick look but the rockers wer not moving. I think its 200tdi time. Anyone got an old Disco laying about with a mint engine??

It's the 4.0 but I have a 4.6 in the shed so if the engine in it is not a quick fix then il put that in it instead

It was good
It was busy but not to the point where you would have to keep stopping and waiting for someone to get out the way before you can carry on
And as the day went on the course would change as it got cherned up by everyone so it was like finding a new part of the site you hadn't do before
My mates discovery came away with some new battle scares but still running good
Not sure what the guy in the Nissan was thinking when he thought he could make it

I have, but couldn't have come at a worse time, **** weather, loads of mud to be had, no money,treatment stops me doing anything, the list goes on.

I'm not familiar with those engines so I don't know what sort of damage a broken cam can corse
But I'm guessing it's going to be a head off and replace some valves at least

Hopefully its just some push rods Spydy. Depends how long the engine was being pushed around by the transmission before you hit the clutch. (If you were cruising that is)
Certainly when I had a cam failure on my 300 ES Disco it bent a coulple of push rods. Unfortunately it wasn't the belt that caused that failure, rather a cam follower that span snd stopped the cam shaft! and that was expensive, I got rid of the whole car in the end.
