To answer my own question- you wouldn't make it to an MOT station. Only drove 1 mile before it came flying of- fotunately i was only going 5mph (and heading back into my road) :D

Wasn't there someone on here who was talking to me in the pub about this a couple of months ago. They had a front prop let go and it came through the footwell and took out the pedal box with loss of brakes.

Not worth messing with IMHO
 
Alf had a front propshaft go in the middle of bog it ripped his auto box into pieces front x member and the transmission tunnel
That was an expensive day
 
The 80 inch trialer will be sitting up all on its own tomorrow all suspension mounts done just getting some more spring bolts and some little bits from Dingocroft tomorrow inc some ultra soft shock bushes Ow Err Misses!! Job tomorrow attach cage to chassis.

Anyone wanting to give trialling a go next comp is 28th July at Roundhill woods Tring site CCV, Tyro and RTV.

Wouldn't mind a go, but I'm banned. Have to make do with Punch Events and it's Billing that weekend.

I wouldn't mind playing when you've got your trailer done.

More progress today:




Cage mounted, 96% welded but we have a cage!! Rear suspension and bump stops all done. Much thanks to Spitfiremk1uk because without him today nothing would have got done!! Cheers Andy!!
 
New custom front propshaft arrived this morning and it is a work of art, so nice to see a quality product rather than the normal stuff. I'll be ordering another for the rear.
