Well there's some motivation to get the disco done! Mind you I have plenty of motivaion already.... it's money that's missing lol!

What still needs to be done Ryder?
Maybe we can organise a day were a few turn up and get stuck in!!
All I will want in return is a supply of TEA.

Ryder,

Whats left to do?

fit tranny input seal, attach boxes and fit gearbox?

Are you sure the rear crank is 100% perrrfect as that would be a PITA if its not sealing correctly.

Oh my god yes finally!! No more work till Thursday!! Whoop!! I will see if I have enough money for laning fuel if anyone's out and about. Happy xmas everyone :)

Oh just a new one then Std or disco/RRC type?

I will change mine to the later disco one when one comes up at the right price. will mean i need a new front hd arm and steering damper relocation kit aka a a exhaust clamp.

Yeah just standard. It's only cos it was an advisory on mot.

Hii Jai...and Sible..... thanks for the offers... may take you up on those...

Rear Crak seal is brand new and as far as I can tell is super fine. Kai fitted it but was very careful and the flywheel housing was off the vehicle. He says that it went on without a problem and there was no puckering around the edges that might indicate a faulty fitting....

So....

New input seal on the xfer box (bought two just in case)... then refit transfer box n gearbox.... props and so on.

Swivel seals both sides and for the sake of thoroughness replace the top and bottom bearings

Weld a sheet of metal in the boot

Weld new B post bottoms

Weld Two new sills into place (got them in the garage)

Then see what the MOT man has to say!

Quite a bit.... but we have drive and motivation... well we have a drive anyway! lol

Oh yes and before we move I suspect that I will have to remove the roof from the 109 so that it fits into the garage

Ok, Paddocks also sell drop arms minus ball joint kit aswell as ones with a new ball joint I think its about £40 quid without joint and £55 with or sumthing like that anyhow unless they have dropped the price recently. If your old one has a little play in the ball joint and the splines are defo good let me know how much you want for it or if there is owt defenderish you want for it. I'm starting to refurb stuff my new years resoloution is to have plenty of refurbished stuff here wrapped up ready to use.

YOu know what Jai... that is an idea that makes really good sense!

Well Mid Feb should have Plenty and i mean plenty of Radius arms ready bushed and ready to fit. Slowly collecting panard rods and straight track rods all will be cleaned up painted fitted with new parts and wrapped up until they are needed. I have X ammount of hub assemblies almost wrapped up and plenty of good used diffs 3.5 and 4.7 all wrapped up.

Slowly getting to a point where I can box them all up ready for when I need them. Still got the series to get done ASAP because next years nationals is coming up FAST and It needs to be driving and tested at least by April ideally.
