I think I'm working late on wednesday so I won't see you guys, but i should soon get my mud tyres and a front recovery point fitted so I'll be up for some lanes in not too long.

I've been thinking with it getting colder and with winter coming soon about what tyres are best in the snow and ice.. From what I've heard and my own sense it would have thought mud tyres are better in snow but road / AT are better on ice... But which would you recommend for overall use on road during winter / snowfall periods? I dont want to put the mud tyres on to grip in snow and find when i get to a clear but icy bit of road the landy skates around uncontrollably because of the lack of rubber touching the ground.

Jack,

A/T's are the best all round choice for winter use if you're picking between M/T ot A/T. I put proper winter tyres on mine for when it gets proper cold.

I loved the story of the nice chap in the wreck of a Discovery on Muds telling spyderman that he should get some decent tyres for the snow. I suspect after Spyderman got up from falling over of laughter he told him to feck right orf cos his tyres are made for Snow and ICE!

The guy was a cock, ****ty Disco with cheapo remould muds, telling me I should get rid of my Pirelli Ice & Snow tyres and get some like his. I'd just pulled an Astra out of a snowdrift in a ditch on a road that was solid ice. I'm surprised that he didn't end up in the same ditch....Muppet.

Usually colway mud terrains the best £32 per corner ever spent usually brought by loud mouthed cocks! and on occasion some genuine nice guys but not that often TBH!

I don't think so.

Not heared anything of him latley, saying that I've been stacked at work and at home so not had much time to see anyone or get out much. As soon as my sheds done I'll be out playing hopefully in time for the snow when it comes!

its next to it. The corsa is a works van rather have it then taking my landy on site as i cant play anywhere anymore plus saves my fuel

oops posted that before I read this page.... erer.... Hi Phil.... noce to see you are still with us... A Corsa you say? Is it all pimped up and ready to cruise the white lion estate with all the others???
