please please dont just bolt on one side to get you going if the axle ends/hubs/stubs are different to one another. You are likley to get sued if somthing non relevent went wrong and ended up crashing like the guy that was sent down for killing his kids. Let along the handling with different Offset of the wheels.

The guy who got sent down was stitched up by the old bill tho!

Ryder, do a thorough check before you fit anything mate, if in doubt ask.

Near enuf aint good enuf!

Just don't go giving them any ammo so the old bill vosa or whoever can lock you ass up. I'm pretty sure Rangie axle ends are way different to what you have! The CV's are completly different from memory early to late and there is so many different types.

DB are you going to grace us with your presence tonight? Kinda forgot what you looked like. Do you know anyone interested in an 88 inch coil sprung chassis? lol No SPAM here chaps!

Hey folks don't worry, I am not about to do anything silly. If the stub axle matches then I will fit it, if not then I'll bite the bullet and buy another one.

Still have the brake pipes to sort out, but once I get the old ones out of the caliper it should be plain sailing!

Good night last night although the last time we will be meeting at the half moon.

Ryder I have a copy of a 4x4 is born in my centre consol will drop off tonight if you are about.

Mid May looks like a go although there is a trial happening around then but its not a big one so will probably miss it.

Brett did you say the mat I need to look for is acoustimat? I'll do a search rubber faced sound proofing sounds just the thing for my attempt to get the 90 quiet again.

It's called Accoustilay. I can get it trade for you if you want some. Get a sample from them and see what you think.

As discussed in the pub. I'm planning a trip to Santa Pod & Grafham water lanes on weekend May 8th or 9th. Post if you're interested.

Follow me, you'll be allright.;)

Hey mate... would be really good. Was intending to get them done at Milehams but if you have the stuff! never attempted anything like that before so should be educational!

Brett: Hopefully in for the May trip out... certainly want to look at those lanes again!

It seems you cannot get a decent second hand stub axle for the type I have fitted. They all suffer from the same prblem... Cheapest I have found online in £65 with the bearings and Oak Tree wated £75.00

filed the threads on mine and spent about three hours trying to get the old nuts to cut a new thread and finally looks like I have been successful. Will reassemble the wheen tomorrow after removing the old bearing race.

Will call you tomorrow DB... after lunch since I know you are on nights!

Elaborate!

Oh that's bleedin easy... do not follow spyderman if you have a date; appointment; got to get the kids to school two days later; medical requirements; grumpy wife; absent children with child minders or any desire to eat within the next twenty four hours!
