As for the route, sounds like the one we did not so long ago, really good. There's a couple of tricky ones.
 
Yeah, know what you mean, but I think it would make for an intersting day out. I am also currently cooking up a plan to improve the wading depth of the Rangie just not sure how long it will take me to implement it!

Still think it could be a good day out.
 
They should have arrived yesterday, so hopefully they'll arrive today. Don't know if I'll get them on before the w/e.

Done it a few times in my Series as it was. Sometimes I made it, sometimes I didn't. Ground clearance was my downfall, yours with the lift should be OK. Depends on conditions on the day, we got stuck for hours last year. I did it with Ryder in the Shogun earlier this year, yet went back with jai as well and just managed to turn back before it was too late.
It's not far to go for an evening's trip though, only 10 minutes from home.

just got in from a rather busy day so obviously counts me out,

ryder , i've got loads of little clips i took on sat ( good one of you trying to get out of thr stream ) but i aint got a clue how to upload 'em so's you lot can have a butchers , do you or your missus know how to , i've loaded them onto me puter , now i'm stuck

I went with jai. Admittedly it was very much drier than last time, but the ruts were just as deep. We drove up it, back down, then reversed up it and drove back down, just first gear tickover. Considering the nightmares I've had stuck for hours in that lane, it was no effort whatsoever, jai said that I had a clear couple of inches clearance on even the deepest ruts, where last time I was stuck fast.
Not sure I like it so much any more, as haven't found anything to challenge it yet. :(
Test will be 40 foot lane, on the way back from Billing on Sunday.

Yes, possibly. I think if at some time we can get all the guys and gals together we can look at the maps and decide what is sensibly possible in a day, unless of course night laning is an option but obviously that has its' own set of problems.

In the alternative we can always split it over a couple of weekends. I have to say I think there is a lot of scope for some fun.

Billing, Sunday - may be a possibility.

Spent a bit of time under the oily bits tonight. timing cover is ready to pop now I have managed to get the crank pulley off - damn that is a pain when you don't have the special tools, I couldn't find my specially designed off cut of gas pipe so used a leg off a 3 leg puller to lock the pulley.

Hopefully will make it.

I may drive up meself mate not in landy as she is going off the road for few days wanna throw some more money at her but will take me car and you are both more than welcom to jump in. If your up for it i will give u a definat answer tomorrow. :confused:
