hi, the car made it to norfolk and back with no major problems, the work on the engine has made it so much better loads of weight on and still pulled well up hills, even better i averaged about 37mpg with a full load used to get about 25mpg empty, RangeyV8 i got some somewhere on one of my external drives il try and find it for ya.

you were driving down the M11 today? i had a disco overtake me - and i couldnt place the reason for me looking at it. looked remarkably similar to yours

yeah i was on the M11, comeing back from norfolk, its a shame i was only there for the night i didnt get a chance to check out any lanes up there:(

ahh - see i was considering taking a detour and doing a couple meself but had a landy full of kit which needed returning! and was pretty tired also in fairness!

jet in the disco behind me in the front passenger seat sleeping like a baby!

was you on there at that time, i think i see u now thinkin about it, same here as i said before we was doin a cousins 21st disco so had all the disco gear on bourd weighing me down.

yup me in the 110 up front with a disco behind - both pretty full with military kit which may have been distinguishing

i do remember seeing a blue disco going past and thinking hmm

we were driving the m11 and then m25 between about 2.30 and 4 ish - summit like that

yeah i think i saw u, was on the M25 aswel, my grizzly claws are getting even louder now there nearly gone, gota get some new ones gona have to get on bootsales and unlock a few phones, i wana get new shocks and springs 1st my nackerd ones have caused tyes one drivers side to wear faster than passenger side.

im looking at getting some special tracks for mine - and keeping the MT for road and lighter stuff.

yea give me a few dates and i will let you know - although at the moment i would rather focus more on stopping the odd sounds first - easier said than done though!

need to sort the spots as well, and put on that new nato hitch! so chuffed with that. not often you can pick up a top notch 10 tonne nato hitch for free:D

Oww Carpy he's got the bug!

Don't go blowing a fortune on stuff get out and about first. Tyres are probably your best bet for now anyhows and a nato hitch is pretty much the best recovery point you can get if it has the spreader plate at the back. Don't worry about getting stuck at Whaddon alot of that is just really bad terrain and myself and spyderman taking the **** outter others but that was cos they had all the gear and the driving skill of a dead donkey.

Ok Well no dates planned for our ladies jaunt but we will sort it out soon lets get Sunday out the way first then we can sort out a date for everyone. Jai

and yea i go. its a full nato hitch with spreader plate so its good to go! just got to get my tow ball off!

im after a steering guard and a light bar - thats the first stop for me - after working out some of these noises. the one really threw me and jet this weekend till earlier on. no idea whats up with it though.

but i got the spots - free. just need to order me a light bar and get em all wired up!

I wasn't asleep! I was being driven in comfort like an improtant person. I saw the blue disco go past as you were meandering your way along in the slow lane. I fell asleep after that though! :D

yea thats probably a pretty accurate description.

you guys definitely were more comfy. but you cant deny the sleeping bit - saw your head drop! and stay down haha

Blimey its been a busy weekend on here!

Well we set out to complete the UJ swap on the rear prop... now as most of you will know, Land rover in their infinite wisdom decided that for their UJs they would use an aarray of roller bearings with no casing in the cup. Hence every time you try to do anything the bloody roller bearing fall out over the workbench! Even Kev was having a few cursing moments (Kai as usual was just taking it all in and filing it away for future reference.

Eventually lost one of the caps and bearings, bought another as a replacement but it was wrong so that was no good either. All in all not too successful then. Ordered another UJ tonight so will have another try on Tuesday when it gets here!

Kai on the other hand has had a good weekend, he stayed on at Kev's when I came home and assisted in the rear diff pinion seal replacement... only realisinig how the time had flown past when I turned up to retrieve him at about 8 ish.

Then he painted some underbody protection panels from the shogun today, checked out the disco linkages to the xfer box and started reattaching the front prop ready to move the beast from its current mooring in front of the garage.

Ah well... the legend continues...
