Hi all just a quick post to upload that letter jai was on about not a long one but better then nothing.

Well done lads!

Anything that gives us a positive image is good news :D

Wish I could get out in the snow to play tonight but just got out of hospital with an infection in my right knee and wont be able to drive for a few more days:(

Hey DB sorry to hear about your hospital woes!

Great to hear about the letter... a call to the local rag could be in order!

Got the wheel re-assembled today, dropped it off the jacks and started to fill the water up... it's peeing over the ground faster than a teenager on a Saturday night! It's not the core plug I don't think, I can feel that and it seems ok, but its is just sods law.

Tempted to scrap the damn thing!

Anyhow... enough of my moans and groans... hope everyone here is doing just fine! Jamie I know how you feel, no cash is no fun here either!

Cheers

R

Phil, Jai, Well done sounds like you done yourselves proud!!

Just got in, went round a few lanes. Nice to be the first one to make tracks but it's starting to rain now.

Do you mean the one across the golf course?

A week or so mate but wont be up to driving for a good few days yet as Ive got an open wound under my knee thats bandaged up!

No worries mate... if I get a vehicle running I'll pop across and say hi!

Moving toward that goal:

Dropped the exhaust, removed the manifold, jacked the engine off the mounts and removed them to reveal... yep another popped core plug! Used the same one rather than wait three days for a replacement, filled it up with water and it is still losing it from some point on the other side of the engine. Too dark to do the job now but will strip out the driver side tomorrow and see whether we can find the source of the leak. No point spending more time and money on the car if the block is buggered.

All the MOT work is done bar the welding, will organise something over the next few days to handle that. All in all not a bad few days... obviously taking me more time than it would for one of you pros but we're getting there!

sounds like your having fun ryder with the landy its a good feeling when you do sort it but sometimes just feels like your fighting a losing battle with them

i did a job on the bridge that leads inta the golf course, theyre developing the golf course inta housing estate, maybe its prep work for that.Id check if its legally blocking the lane.
