Pair of wellies :D

being serious just get some decent tow points like jate rings front and rear a decent rope (not a long strop) i wouldnt bother to get much else only tyres biggst you can fit with out too many mods and a couple of short strops. Mabe a high viz clothing for the kids food and water for the days laning (we tend to be out late sometimes stuck dont wd Ryder) lol! Jai

been using it a bit today, and the lpg is a bit iffy, runs ok on a run, but the stepper switch(think thats what its called) is disconnected as the lpg hunts a little on idle and cuts out a low revs, on petrol it runs sweet, think the last owner set the idles on lpg with the throttle cable then disconnected the stepper thing, its only a months mot so fingers going for mot on monday before i spend any cash on it incase its a dog, seems a bit slugish to shift from cold, but its not been driven much for a while

Hmmm it has been known to stretch into an hour or two! To be fair... I think the last long one was DBs ditch... but I do tend to do things properly... including getting well and truly stuck!

Oh what Have we done we put an offer on a house!!, Lots of bits and silly landy bits and bobs for sale for the garage i mean house fund, Jai

Sounds a bit dodgey does that. A V8 can idle at stupidly low RPM, like 500. The air by pass valve (stepper motor) is controlled by the ecu which takes info from the coolant temperature thermistor, fuel temperature thermistor, throttle potentiometer and air flow meter. There are supplementary inputs from the speed transducer and from the rev counter and all that little lot makes the efi work via the Lucas 14CUX ECU!!

Then of course somebody went and bolted LPG to yours which can make rough running even more likely and harder to sort out. It might be worth setting the engine up as per the book to run on petrol then get an LPG specialist to sort out the gas.

Sorry to sound negative but you could be in for a testing time. Hopefully though it will be something really simple and you'll be out there bladdering the nuts off it.

good luck with the range rover ya will need it hehe been there done it got a pajero :)

Disco52,

Don't worry you will be towing the Paj when his 15 inch rims are stuck fast!

With Rangie EFI systems you really need to keep on top of it but if you take the time to learn how the system works (i'm told its relativly simple) (in the processmyslf) and keep the maintainance up like Classic Kev does you should have very little trouble and you will enjoy all that power!

Us with little Diesels can do water but thats about it! Lol Jai

bet i wont get stuck as much as some, even a little muddy bank got the better of someone on ere! its all bout the driver and knowing what you can and cant do, i guess this is the "its landy or nothing site" after some the comments ive got oh well if ya stuck i guess you wont need a tug if im around to help :) :)

Don't get your knickers in a twist! Everyone gets stuck its part of the fun! If anyone believes they will never get stuck they are in Dream world! I think we are a welcoming group (we **** take alot Ask Ryder, if anoyone inc me has offended you I/we are sorry) We lready have a shogun and now a Paj and I believe a zuki on ere so I don't think we are Exclusivley Landrover dispite being Landyzone. Jai

Hey congrats on finding a house Jai... keeping my fingers crossed that all runs smoothly from here on in!

Ahhh That wonderful sound of spinning tyres on mud , that feeling of being helpless , calling for a tug on the CB lol .. That laughter and fond banter from fellow laners .. I love it lmao ...:D

I'll tell you what makes me smile a little... a friend of mine who shall remain nameless bought stickers for the rear of his motor proclaiming that he was the Land Rover Recovery crew.... that was just before his motor stopped.Ooops! Still I'm sure he'll tow us out another day!
