Leonberger.

Hey geezer, 'ows it goin. Wellies not big enough I tell you. Anyway a quick prod wiv the metal pole and it all checked out. Have to say on the basis the recommended wading depth is 500mm I think it would safely do more, bearing in mind the ford was deeper than the recommended depth and I haven't done anything special to prevent the water getting at the leccie bits under the bonnet or moved the air intake.

That said, I did go very slowly!!

Hope to see out at the weekend, I will be hitching a ride but being there is what counts.

Wading plugs are available on ebay. 1 goes in the bottom of the timing case (front of engine) and the other goes in the bellhousing (rear of engine where it meets the gearbox). I thing they are less than a fiver aswell.

Worth getting remote Axle Breathers too. I blew countless Hub Seals, through the breathers clogging with mud, but haven't had any problems since fitting them. Dead easy and about £20

Cheers,

This may be a completly outragious idea, but how about a organising (that horrible word that means input) a gathering to raise money for some worthy causes?

This all came about while chatting to Colin at Autoland a year or so ago when we tried to organise an event in Houghton Regis Pit. This will never happen the owners ar not interested but I have a few ideas:

Whaddon site,
Possibly a fun day,
inc:
Treasure hunt,
Blind fold driving/navigation,
Tactical tyre pull,
lots of mud!
&
Somthing for the kids push bike course,
any other sensible ideas,

Mabe get Colin from team chaos, as he does sterling work at many events around the UK for various charities, inc Macmillan Cancer support, and others.

I'm sure I can wangle some sponsorship from Autoland and other sources.

Whats everyones take on the whole thing?

Jai
