Looks like I won't be there, I'm now only just arriving home from work. Will try for the next one, would be good to see everyone again.
 
I have just brought a snorkel as the last thing I want to do is hydraulic my engine when I go out. I currently have an oil bath air filter and realise I have to change it and was looking at getting something similar to the pictures below. Couple of quick questions-

There appears to be an inlet and an outlet, plus a further smaller tube/ pipe? what is it and would it be ok to seal it up?

It has a screw down lid, would it be sufficient to seal it, if I were to mastic it?

I haven't bought the filter yet, so it it is no use then I will look at others. (If anyone has anything for sale that would fit in a series then please let me know)

That's a 2.5 defender one isn't it??

Seal all holes except the inlet and engine side be wary that the tube are tacked on so might be worth sealing the flired joint aswell.

RTV silicone is your friend!
