What are the lanes like out your way Kev? Worth a weekend's trip? :)
Route we took today they were a bit widely spread, wouldn't have been too bad had 2 long stretches of lane not have been closed. One was a bit sketchy, and one had a please consider if it is necessary to drive this lane, looks like it had been recently been re surfaced.

'Ello mate. Lanes are alright, plenty to do. Not much gloopy mud and most of the time not a lot of risk of getting properly stuck but care is needed when it's wet. The scenery is well worth a trip out. Most lanes are gravelly, some are quite steep. This time of year (as with many byways) some can be a bit tight and not for those who are precious about their paint.

If you were making a weekend of it I would say probably start N.Wales and work your way down through Mid-Wales then see how you go. If you have time then S.Wales has some good routes but I've not been out side of N.Wales.

Cheers buddie, are they all seasonal or non seasonal?
Might try and plan a trip over, my girlfriends parents live in south wales so might try ans tie it into that. Do a long weekend, after a couple more shake down runs. See if any of the others are up for it, I'm sure they will be. :D

As far as I know they are all season; certainly I am not aware of the stuff local to me being closed for winter but couldn't say what happens in other parts of Wales.

Anyone got a memory map route over ely, chatteris and whittlesey.b3aker said theres a lot of lanes there and looked on map and there is. A route would help plan a day out. If not ill try and put a route together for sunday.
