That is a very valid point but you will be surprised how much it scratches your motor.

As funny as this may sound you would be better off going to a P&P and having a good look around and start with the easy stuff
yea have been looking at a few p&p places. they look like a lot of fun. was given a driving day by land rover when got mine so that will b a gd place 2 start

yea will do that

cheers man

Im out most sundays somewhere. If you can find the lanes are open near you i dont mind coming up there and having a look. You would have to ask your local council what boats or byways are open or have restrictions on them. Also need a map for the area. Dont think i have one for your area.

Yea where about do u normally go out 2. I will try find out about any lanes round here r open. So what do I send the council an email or ring them 2 find out.

I go anywhere other people are out.ive done a few pay and plays. Mainly whaddon. Looking to do more laning Have a look on internet it might tell you. Should tell you whos in charge of lanes and email or phonecall i guess.

Its lots of map reading, lots of painful phone calls to non existing people who are always in meetings and lots of stress well it used to be with Bedfordshire RoWs well the man in charge a couple of years ago. Took me a week for him to return my calls and then to be told Erm he's not sure I'd be best off not driving just in case. even tho it was his job to know the status of the lanes in his disrtict. Agghhh!!!

how is it now Jai? are Beds any better?

That sounds very frustrating sounds ezer just 2 find someone that know the green lnanes them self's, instead on relying on unreliable councils.

Most of the lanes ive done ive had to do some groundwork before. Whether using maps and driving to them to see if there gated or open. Theres a section somewhere about finding greenlanes.

Yea I did fine a wed site the other day with all the byways marked on it. Was going 2 get an Ordnance Survey map and start marking them out. Well will have 2 fine where that section is and try contact them about it.

im up for a laning trip. ideally a easyish one as dont have my snorkel or diff guards fitted yet. am based in high wycombe bucks. but if its going to be a good day and a long route i really wanna go out.
cant do this saturday as im picking up my winch bumper and also picking up a range rover that me and a mate have gone halves on. but Sunday or the week after im all good for

Yea sunday would b gd 4 me. Yea don't have a snorkel or any guards on it yet ether, or a winch 4 that matter. But just 2 get out in it would b gd. Not been laning b4 so don't know any so will have 2 get someone that knows some places 2 go.
