I have recently bought a 2004 TD5 Landmark, now on the top of the roof dead centre, behind the rear sunroof is a 1" rubber grommit, I noticed this after I had bought it and put it down to perhaps having a beakon fitted up there at some point for motorway maintenance, but today I have been to NeneOverland to have some work done on the disco and whilst up in there waiting room I looked down on there forecourt where there are 2 disco TD5's a 2002 and a 2003 both of which have the same rubber grommit.

I asked inside if they knew what it was and they didn't, so anyone on here have an answer? it just got me curious and also cheered me up abit for some reason knowing my car wasn't being used by some motorway maintenance bloke

any ideas??????

Hi
It's for the factory fit GPS aerial for the satnav unit. I think all 2003 models onward had the hole.
