I purchased an i930 from iCarsoft to debug my mates L322. It definitely will read & clear most faults, but limited live data. Still seems good value for £90.

All-Comms probably does more, and will calibrate suspension & configure some modules especially Body ECU. $227+shipping so depends on exchange rate that day. Was £180 last week, but looks like £157 today !!

IID Tool seems too dependant on LCD unless you pay for the more advanced version.

For basic functionality you can't beat the iCarsoft for the money. All-Comms at £157 is also worth a shot. I've never been able to justify the cost of an IID let alone the Bluetooth version if your LCD display packs up. You can also use some of the BMW diagnostic tools as well, BMW Scanner1.4.0 works well and reads pretty much all the modules on my 52 plate. There are others such as Navcoder which again are cheap but work effectively on the early L322's. The only one I could never get to work was something called DIS which is BMW coding software and they've locked the L322 out of it.

it was the chimps that blabbed, you know what they are like after a few martini's and a bit of pillow talk...o_O
Are we off topic again mate ?

OK SO finally got a snap on diagnos on it and it came up 116 which ive read means loads of things:mad: also air sus relay isnt opening started to sort when mechanic went and relay was fine:eek: ,checked compressor [got service kit] no change  then i fined out that he had dropped the suspension on its arse:( so phoned him and he tried to set it back:) after two hours no joy:mad::mad::mad::mad: asked if he,d got a box of matches :D ,wish id never brought the piece of s.;-t now i find that after you mess with everything to fix problem you havto have diagnos to clear everything before compressor will kick in  even the ecu isnt leveling it ,,,,,

do what I did . . . buy an iCarsoft I930 for £89 and diagnose it yourself. Then fix each thing one at time. It will then suddenly all work !!

Pete

Sounds like your mech has screwed with stuff....116 means nowt....was there any description with the number??

I'd get it on a decent set of diagnostics with a Land Rover indy or dealer....or someone on here who knows what they are doing.

Indeed, never heard much good said about the snap on diagnostics on the l322, I still stand by the allcomms as it was designed specifically for the L322 by somebody who is both a genius and owns an L322 and has personally carried out most of the things you can do to one.

where did you get the icar from at that price  does it sort all eas probs ?
any ideas why ecu isnt sending it up or anyone no a way you can with fault there oh yes with 116 code was air static so put service kit on comp guess wot you need diag because you disconnected the compressor ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
