hi everyone im new to land rovers and this site! that said i have had my 1964 2a series for a week and a half now and am hooked. i have 2 questions i need help with the first is, i have a hertiage cert for my landy by the way shes called febee as rego is FBE 660L but i want to restore her to her military condition so, where can i get info on what she was used for and what she looked liked? 2nd Q is how do i use my overdrive im to frighten to just try as dont want to damage it! any help would gratally received. many thanks mike.

It is the Ex-Military Land Rover Association. They take a bit
of time to get together enough enquiries befor sending them
off but I think they are cheaper than the heritage club

who I think can also help you find your military history (but
I am unsure about this).
Not having an overdrive I cant really help but I did read that you
should have an extra lever to engage it. How many levers do
you have? You should have the black gear lever, the red high
/ low lever and a yellow 2x4 / 4x4 up / down lever. the one
that is left should be the overdrive lever. Apparently it can rattle a lot!
Photos would help with the levers and are always nice for an introduction.

and yes have black yellow and red and then overdrive lever which seems to have three positions but not sure what the positions are and how and when to engage them.
