what size are the propshaft bolts?i ask because i'm presuming they are imperial and i don't have many imperial spanners/sockets.
 
They are imperial but a 14mm to 15mm open ended spanner will fit.
I recommend that you take at least two of each.
 
Just checked mine and they're 13mm, but being a Landrover they could arguably be anything close to that, depending who has had their hands on it in the past.
 
Yep they could be anything.
I have just replaced the UJ's on mine and i had 3 different types of nuts / bolts.

Ps
I also had to cut 3 of the littel sods off so take a hacksaw too.
 
with prop nut and bolts, if you don't use the proper size they tend to round off very easily so yer best making sure you have the right size before you start. as once you've rounded them yer really gonna have trouble getting them off.

handbrake free now,i backed off the adjuster and ****ted the drum which worked a treat,bastard still won't move though!one of my neighbours has a half-track,hmmmmmmm.:)
 
That was my suggestion about post no 3. I sold 2 series II's. In bits, and when they tried to winch the chassis onto the trailer, the hand brake had locked. After about 5minutes of them banging away at the wheel drums. I lent over and belted the Handbrake drum with the back of a log splitting maul. and the thing shot forwards. fooking idiots.
 
what the **** is a soft hammer? a hammer fer pooftahs? get yer big ball pien hammer and give it a clout if that dunt work you give it a club hammer

Yep ( I take it your on about losing yer cherry) It rattling a long nicely.
 
Well it's downloading and it reckons it'll only take another 2 years, but I've got another one dowloading an another PC and that only needs another 6 hrs. So yer can switch it off if yer want.
