Noted! - it has lay for 2 weeks since I took it in, unsure if battery has been lowered if they have attempted to start / diagnose.First problem I see there is 11.17V
+1 ^^^^^^^ waste of time reading faults with the voltage that low.First problem I see there is 11.17V
Thanks, putting messages to the garage in the hope of speeding things up.+1 ^^^^^^^ waste of time reading faults with the voltage that low.
Thanks.First thing first...get them to charge the battery and re -check for hard codes....it does suggest the the (MAP) sensor has a problem (s**t itself) get em to check that first and don't worry about the tranny code yet.
Thanks.Have a read through my thread here: https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-ro...hen-coolant-leak-and-cracked-manifold.381697/
The codes your car is generating are the same as mine (although mine was bank A) and I had a split inlet manifold, My car would start though but it depends how bad the issue has got.
Since I have bonded my manifold, I've not had any issues at all and the Transmission Control ones haven't come back either, one member suggested it's Land Rover's dodgy CANBUS that causes that to come up at the same time and I'd be inclined to agree based on my experience.
As others have said, the battery is way too weak to be of any use right now so that needs addressing.
If it truly is the MAP sensor, you can swap them over and see if the fault moves to Bank A which would be a low cost option, however, I'd still expect the car to start even with a failed MAP sensor.
Best of luck.
Thanks. I don’t think the mechanic has done much with the car, I have passed on the posts from all in here. He was charging the low battery overnight to see if any change to the codes. Not heard anything today if he retried for codes or not.I have a client from the UK with a 3.6V8 these codes in his car came from a split manifold. Have you checked for splits or an oil mess?
The car has been put to another garage they diagnosed split booster hose straight off.
Today they called to advise egr valves ok it’s the turbos that have gone, one is seized other with oil within.
£4k quoted and possibility of engine damage though sounded ok.
Do these things just fail I take it, unlucky to have it less than a Year and this happens!
Worth repairing or not, told garage I would call tomorrow.
Thanks.
Thanks for the information I have asked them to go ahead with the job yesterday.it is a lot but would be worth it
the body will have to come off and I believe that's a 3hour job in its self.so would be a day and a half job to do
