i need help with the central locking on the tailgate of my 1992,200 discovery tdi, having problems i have replaced the spring and bought a new actuator to find it was not that, but it won't lock even though the rest of the landy locks. just wondering if the new spring is too resistant or am i on the wrong track need help urgently

Hi hornydevil1, just a thought, check the button on the top that you manually push down to lock when you are inside (cant think of the name of it ) on mine it was being restricted by tape that was used to hold the guide rod in place, it stopped the door from locking on mine, easy to fix though...

thanks for the info, but it was not that, i've also tried the putting of wd40 down the handle as well, the lever does not seem to stay up when i try to lock it,
