5 or 6 stud doesn't really matter.
What you need to know is the PCD (stud spacing) as there are many different PCDs.
You also need to know the centre bore. Most rims are hubcentric, as in they sit and align on the hub, not the studs. The studs just keep the rim in place.
If you get a rim with a centre bore that is too big, it may not align centrally when you tighten the nuts up, so will wobble and could cause parts to fail due to vibration.
But more importantly, you will be making the studs take the weight of the vehicle instead of the much larger and stronger centre of the hub.
A quick Google suggest the Freelander has a PCD of 5x114 but no mention of the centre bore which is annoying.
Google also only seems to suggest the Hilux is 6x139.7 with a centre bore of 108.0 only.
Alloy wheel fitments and pcd's.
I'm not sure how accurate this is though.
That list doesn't have any other 5x114 fitments listed, but does have quite a few 5x114.3 fitments. So maybe the Freelander is a typo.
That said, there's not really a shortage of available Freelander wheels, well not in the UK.
