Thanks to helpful advice on previous threads I have (nearly) successfully installed a pair of fog lights, work lamp and Waeco heated seat pads. They all work as wanted. But I have a problem with the switches as the indicator lights on the switches are on all the time when the ignition is turned on.

The switches for the lights are carling type rockers (from Raptor Engineering with their dash) with three terminals. To provide the feed from the ign+ I tapped into the white wire at the back of the ignition switch (with a tap connector) and ran that to a Helacon plus push in cable connector (6 way). I've taken the feeds for the two carling rockers and the one for the seat heaters off the helacon plus. I've earthed the carling switches through another helacon box (which also has an earth for a 12v socket, USB socket and dashboard LEDs) back to the bulkhead. The seat pads are earthed through it as well. The only other thing is that I've not yet connected the work lamp itself.

The lamps and seats only come on when the switches are closed, but the indicator lights on all the switches are on when the ignition is on.

Please could someone tell me what I have done wrong?

Thanks in advance

Mike

You have possibly wired the feed for the switch indicator lights to the incoming feed terminal (i.e. power to the switch), rather than the outgoing (power from the switch to the e.g. work lamp).
