There are two tiny hoses breather. They are plenium breathers or something like that I replaced mine for a couple of quid. However this has nothing to do with your suspension problem

Have a look at this, these guys have come up with a program to reset the eas. It doesn`t read codes but it does clear them so it all works again, and it does work, and they have put it on there for free.
When downloaded go into eas tools in the top left hand corner and it tells you how to make the cable to fit to your laptop.
It may save you on the reset fees as you try to find the faulty parts, and its good to have anyway.
Don`t change to spings it`ll spoil the car p38`s were designed for air not springs.
All the best

I know this may seem obvious to some but you HAVE to remember that this tool will just clear the fault state. The program is meant to help you AFTER diagnosis of the fault, not continually resetting a recurring fault. So make sure you find AND FIX the fault before running this program and using it.

Running the program and continually resetting a fault that keeps coming back is only going to lead to worse problems! Remember, there is no way to read the faults from the EAS ECU's memory with the software either, it quite literally is designed just to reset an EAS hard fault once the problem that caused the fault has been found.

after much arguing i paid 100 pounds, they say they spent time checking much electrics due to the computer not cummunicating with car anymore anyway the car susoension is now up and working but they have told me they do not know if it will go wrong again so i am paranoid they say it could be ecu or fuse box?!!

Ah, I come on holiday to Norfolk sometimes. I got recommended JSF 4x4 Ltd incase I ever had problems when I was on holiday and didnt want to get the vehicle recovered home. Ive never had to use these guys but Ive seen their wheel covers on alot of LR's in Norfolk so I assume they are pretty good. Have you tried them??

I never meant to imply that you keep resetting the fault without repairing the faulty component so if that is how it came across i apologise. I just meant that it is usefull if after replacing a known faulty part the fault can then be reset without a pricey trip to the dealers.

what should i do with my car i love it and do not mind maintainence in general or even the running costs but if she is going to be costing me hundreds in repairs i cannot put up with this mentally and financially!
thinking of selling any advice.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Range Rover ..... once heard some one say, you'll either bail out in 2 months or keep it forever ....

Ive also heard that Rangies have character and personality, mine suffers from cognitive impairment, compulsive obsessive disorder and obviously takes drugs when Im not there.

Ive no idea why the text has gone bold either but being a rangie man Im used to surprises.

hang in there mate .... its all worth it.

have you checked the battery lead connections and earth on body and chasis, beware before you do you may need the car's EKA code which can be supplied by a main dealer and free of charge( tell them you have replaced the battery and require the code to reset the security system.don't worry so long as you have the code we can get the car back into normal mode quite easily) now you can check the connections.

mine went recently, posted here http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f10/battery-earth-lead-63951.html , and i seem to remember a few 'weird' beeps and things just prior to the lead coming off. it's probably not gonna cure your problem but as your problem is intermittent it's worth a try and FREE. i have now connected an emergency earth lead, screw in top of battery post and connected to earth lead just in case in the hope it will give me time to reconnect the earth !!
