We have a 1987 Ford Bronco 2 4x4, with a/c,2.9 liter engine. We are having
problems with the siganl and brake lights, the fusses keep blowing. One of
the wire from the wire harsse was corrideed again hubby by-passed that wire
we had siganl and brakes lights for awhile. Now er just keep blowing the
fuses, we can only use the fuses once and then the are blowen. We don't
know if it is the wiring or the turn signal switch. The steering colum has
tilt and cruise. Please help us if any one can.

It's almost certainly a short-to-ground of a wire carrying power to the
lights. Another possibility is a bad flasher relay. But if one wire is
corroded it's likely that others are too.

We have a guy working on it today and hopefully he can find the short, I
got a new wire harness and on eperson also said it could the trailer
lights causing the short. As we do not use them right now he is going to
take them right off and make sure that the wires or good back there. He is
going to replace the whole wire harness for the signal light and the
flasher.
