Hi all

I have fitted a light bar to my discovery 1 and its all working on the switch no worries, i have this wiring kit fitted to run 2 spots and a second kit fitted to run another 2 spots 12V Wiring kit Includes Switch & Relay for LED Spotlights Work Fog light Bar | eBay

what im after is go get it going with the high beam aswell as running it on the switch if i can. can anyone advise what i need to do so i can get the roof lights to all come on with the main beam and off when i dip main beam >

A handful of diodes should fix this. Put a diode between each extra light switch and the coil of their relay. Take a feed from the high beam through an illuminated switch to two diodes to each relay coil - current from either or both switch or hi beam will operate the relays, you can use the third switch to not have the additional lights on with hi beam and you'll have the necessary indication that the extra lights are on when hi beam is on.

Ah, I didn't see the pre made looms you are using. You might need an auto electrician on this one. You don't want turning on the extra lights to also turn on your main beam so you have to buffer the two circuits - it's what the diodes do. They only let current flow in one direction.

Ah right OK thought it may be an easy diy job will have to see if I can find someone local to have a look at it then.

Anyone know of any auto electricians around the Herefordshire or Worcestershire area please, would like this problem sorting and to see if they can get me motorised seats to work as well

You could add another 5 pin relay before the 4 pin one in your wiring loom and have this switched off your high beam. When your high beam isn't on the current will pass through this relay on the 5th pin and provide power to the 4 pin relay so you can still operate it on the switch.

Simplest option would be to replace the switch on that loom with an on-on switch (that one looks like an on-off). You wire the switch common to the exciter of the relay, then one side to the high beam switch output and the other side to a fused live.
