I personally would have found a non rusty one, as there are loads about. Nobody needs to be dealing with terminal rot on the FL1, as there are plenty out there which are rust free.

it didnt look that bad tbf, only when we started removing the plastic trimming did it reveal itself

An unfortunate consequence of having the plastic in the first place.
Thankfully the FL2 doesn't have plastic where it can harbour salt laden mud.

apart from the wheel arch trim,i removed mine and found it packed with mud.behind rear arches.

found the clutch problem,...a bent actuator arm , thanks guys
