Have a 1988 110, 200 TDI with a leaning problem to the offside (driver side) (yeah I'm a Yank!). Have a +2 lift with 3 degree cranked radius arms, +2 inch Terrafirma springs with big bore +2 dampers on the front end and on the rear; cranked trailing arms, +2 inch springs +2 inch big bore dampers. Can't understand why she still leans to the offside about 6-9 degrees. Urggggg......

Springs the wrong way round? drivers side should sit slightly higher unladen to ensure it sits flat when driven by just a driver...

Cheers Steve

Steve, I've thought of that before I installed the new +2 springs and insured that I installed the 10mm taller spring on the drivers side, but to no avail...

Bit of a ball ache but swop them over and see if problem gets worse or better... unlikely but could be a dodgy spring...
your certain there is no damage to the spring seats on the chassis, mate fitted new suspension one time and after a short run the uprated springs showed his rear mount was well past its best and it collapsed.. but that would be very obvious
Cheers Steve

Steve, When I installed the new Terrafirma front +2 spring the problem got a little better then when I had the +2 brit part springs installed on the front end. I didn't see any obvious damage to the front mounts or the spring plates on either side on the front end. I've planned to replace the rear +2 brit part springs with Terrafirma +2 springs here soon. Could the rear springs cause the entire driver side to lean or could something binding in the suspension be the culprit?
Cheers Lee

Yep rear spring could easily cause the problem, there is a fair bit of vehicle weight on there, on my mates it was the rear platform that collapsed and the whole Landy leant severely
And there is post after post extolling the qualities of Britpart springs (not) :) ...

Cheers Steve

Steve, Appreciate your assistance, with that said I'll move to check the rear platform and spring mounts and rid myself of the good'o brit part quality springs...
Have yourself a Happy Christmas and a Outstanding New Year! Lee

Steve, The lean is gone. Something happened when I went up on an embankment on the nearside (both front and back wheels). After I leveled out the steering wheel was off center to the left and the lean was gone. The only thing I can figure is that one of the many joints was stuck and became unstuck or the anti roll bar link righted.:crazy_driver: Any clues?????

Cheers, Lee

Sorry to butt in but it sounds like one of your coil springs was not seated properly in its base. By stretching it , it may have turned and sprung into place. Just a suggestion.

Is the pig sitting in the middle or to one side?
If its sitting on the same side that you think is a bit low then try moving it to the other side.
Pigs are heavy remember.
