anyone know the wiring diagram for wipac wfl7led flasher unit
it looks like this _ L

I L1
ive change the wiring across for like from old 4 pin one
 
...and hello. Try introducing yourself first in the intro section and have a look at the faqs and forum etiquette. Some people can be quite picky about this. What landy is it? My series has the older two terminal WFL21 style unit.
 
Asking for help here is like making love to a woman !! Would you stick it in dry !!!no foreplay or owt !! Try a Haynes manual !!!
 
The only S3 wiring diagrams I've seen use the two terminal flasher relay. Do you need the variable speed one for LED bulbs?
 
This relay is designed for LED flasher units which I would guess have to be fitted to the trailer as well for the current sensing on the trailer repeater to work properly. OK, so a four pin one has been bodged in. Shouldn't be a problem. Do you have the wiring diagram/pinouts for the relay? The battery feed (+?) in should be a green wire from the fusebox, the feed to the indicator switch will be a light green wire with brown tracer (L?). Godknowswhatcolour wire goes to the trailer indicator bulb retrofitted somewhere on the dash (L1?) and the final wire would go to earth. (-?). You might need to sort the flash rate and bulb failure sensitivity somewhere as well. Hopefully you got instructions with the relay.
 
Hi everyone, I haven't been on the forum in ages but I have run into the same trouble as the original post. My original wiring went like this, brown 49 green/red 49a grey 31 brown c2 . Great colours! I'd really appreciate and be thankful for some help. My new unit is exactly the same as the one above.

My guess is its a naff led flasher unit as the Wipac ones are useless had 3 on my 90 over a 12 month period then bought a Britpart one and believe it or not its been great, got it off ebay, Wipac ones seem to have a life span of between a week and 3 months in my case anyway :)

Cheers for the advice, I got the wipac in an it's working ok,but going on what you said I maybe changing it soon. Who thought brit part would make something that works . Thanks again

TBH I got to thinking Wipac and BP are the same firm as they look identical and both came in blue boxes :D
 
Hi there, I'm trying to upgrade my series 3 to LED indicators from wipac. I'm having trouble with getting the indicators to flash. They just stay permanently on then you switch on the switch. There was only two wires attached to the old relay and four connectors on the new led wipac relay. Does anyone have any pictures or advise of how it's meant to be wired. Cause clearly I'm doing it wrong. Thanks

When I had my 90 and came to the end of the chassis swap we fitted decided to fit the Wipac kit and had probs getting the indicators to work but found out both repeater lights on the wings wasn't working properly and once they had been replaced it sorted the problem.

As regards a series truck they don't normally have repeater lights fitted so you could either fit a pair to your wings or you could wire two old school warning lights in the cab behind the dash so not to distract the driver which will allow the indicators to work which is what I'm thinking of doing but will use green ones as its normally green that's used for indicator warning lights :)
