hi when i accelerate or break using the engine i get a vilent vibration? so any ideas?

Have you had a look at the Ujs on the propshaft?

yes their does not seem to be any play in them an iv greased them up again!! but one thing i did notice is the weight in the propsaft (front) in rusted away would this make a much diffrence??

The balance weight you mean? wunt have thought it would make a stack of difference. What about play in the output flange bearings. Is the clutch performing ok?

Am interested in any replies as my disco (300 tdi ,m reg 170K ) has just started vibration during acceleration but not whn cruising nor when off road .Engine lacks power so not sure if its an engine problem or the transmission
