So, changed the oil a couple of weeks ago, topped up properly but didn't check again. The other day while trying to park in the hospital underground car park for 25 minutes the oil light flickered and then came on. Got home and put a litre of oil in, just in case. All seemed well, today oil light came on, this time with "Stop Oil Engine Press" . Pulled in and added another litre of outrageously priced oil from garage, light still flickers. There is no oil seeping from anywhere, no black or blue smoke and the engine sounds sweet as a peach. Ran a scan and got code 1190 dtc fuel rail pressure plausability....whatever that means.
Could it be the oil sensor/sender is faulty?, as I say the engine sounds absolutely fine, anyone got any ideas, would be greatly appreciated.
