Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and Landys in general. I picked up a very cheap Disco 3 from auction with the view of maintaining it as a project.

When I picked her up there was an issue with the brakes binding and a knocking coming from the rear, which after a few miles and hard braking was resolved. Unfortunately there is an intermittent squeak that comes from the rear when pulling off, at low speed and when turning hard right corners. I had a look at the weekend and the clip that holds the brake cable away from the wheel has snapped and there is some visible rubbing of the plastic of the cable, so I've made a replacement that now keeps the cable away from the wheel.

I've notice that the noise is not present when the roads are wet unless I have been driving for some time, which could suggest it is coming back after the brakes have warmed? Applying the handbrake when parked then driving off seems to resolve it for a period of time.

Any ideas?

TIA,
Mark
