HELP ! i need to get a series 3 truckcab from Tadley to Basingstoke by trailer .........anyone got a trailer ????????????????????

no probs - why by trailer tho? a truck cab will fit in my slitty - mite even fit in my Disco. Has it been dismantled - or is it still in one piece?

just pm me when and where.

Ere Daft do you think he means, he's brought a series 3 truckcab, or has he brought a truckcab for a series 3

thas a blurry good thought - i was finking of roof bits, coz it wouldnt matter on bodystyle if it was the complete fing, but re-reading it , its a bit ambigious. It may well be the complete Motta.

THAT wont fit in my slitty:eek::rolleyes::D

I used a man who collects scrap cars (You know the sort "cash paid for cars") to move one once 40 miles cost me £60, he was very happy.

probably the ramblings of a man who is going mad,it is the whole series 3 truckcab wheels and all ,not just the part.i need to be able to work on it to get it running and can only do that at home ???????

towing would not be a good idea as the brakes are s**t to be honest, how much is it for a trailer from micheldever, any idea ? sounds good to me.....one other thing although i have the registration there is no other paperwork !!! what do i do ?

yes it does have a front tow ball.had a look at the trailers and looks good to me,i have a vauxhall vectra ( ahem, work car ) that i use.would that be able to tow my landy.?????????

no. - heard of a jag (twoz a jag werent it?) rip its back end orf like that - ask bigchap:(

I can pull it wiv my disco if yu gorra front tow ball, but it needs to be legal

I doubt it, Landy weighs about 2 tonne so you need something rated to 2 tonne plus the weight of the trailer.....another series would struggle (well legally anyway). There is a maximum towing weight for your car should be on a plate somewhere, under the bonnet I guess or in the manual if thats with the car....depending on your age you may have a restriction on your licence as well..

you want something like a 90 or a disco to tow it really.....my shogun did ok when i towed one a while ago, but the 90 was better.

You have to have all wheels off the ground if it doesn't have (Tax, insurance and a MOT).

If you rent a trailer it cost more (don't forget fuel there and back 4 times).
You will also need a twin axel braked trailer and something with enough towing capacity (Vehicle and trailer).
You also might exceed the point when you need to fit a taco graph.

That's why I used a man with a flat bed all them problems go away and it's a lot cheaper.

Strange though he took it from Popham to Farnborough, in the same neck of the woods as you.

If you want i can look up the guy i used and see if he want to earn some more easy Cash.

heard of a jag (twoz a jag werent it?) rip its back end orf like that - ask bigchap:(

wasn't a jag but a volvo 960 estate

 oh dear.now this is summat i should have thought about, always used transit flatbeds b4.i have got an HGV 2 as well  if the guy from popley to farnboro could contact the person to find out how much that would be excellent :)

i think "the guy from popley to farnboro" has a name - most likely "Clivees"

if yu need me to assist - just pm.

Both Are illegal for non emergency breakdown recovery. and the vehicle been recovered would have to be Taxed Tested & Insured to be used on a public road.
