Hi all,
My names Alex new to the forum and new owner of a freelander 2 57 plate. I bought the car for peanuts which is all well and good but I have had a rattle under the car for a week or so and finally got underneath it to have a look. The exhaust has fallen off from the back of the turbo… So I have a server lack of power at all rpms but no black smoke and I was wondering if this could be causing the issue or if it’s more likely to be an inter cooler or split hose scenario. The question is whenever I’ve had a split hose on any other turbo diesel I’ve owned there has always been a lot of black smoke where as now I have none. I also seem to be burning through fuel like it’s going out of fashion. Any help would be fully appreciated.
Many thanks
