I have a 1988 Land Rover 90 2.5TD. I am concerned that my exhaust is not right. The back box appears to be too low. I have looked today to see if there is any adjustment but everything seems to be where it should be. I have checked the part number on the back box and it is correct. I would appreciate if anyone with a similar vehicle could post pics of their exhaust so I can see where it should run. Strange request I know but I'm running out of ideas!!

Come round to mine and you can have a look for your self. I'm in Hull myself.

See pics. Any ideas why it seems so low? There is a dent in the top of the box where it has been catching on the bolt for the tow bar. See pic 3.

As I said earlier if you bring it round I'll have a look at it for you

Any ideas???

Dunno about the 90, But on a 110 their is a support bracket AFTER the back box and welded to the actual tail pipe. If it is meant to have one and is missing it will cause it to hang low.

I think the whole thing needs twisted from the mid section to get the back box to come up a bit.

If you undo the three bolts a bit and get it slack enough the exhaust will spin with the clamps in place and allow you to twist the whole thing and get it to sit up a little, I had this issue when i took it off to drop the gearbox a few years back.
