Took out for another drive and all hell broke loose I scanned it after each time. Happened twice the first scan was after I deleted all the codes and just restarted the car. Before I set off. 😂🤦‍♂️

Any know if the steering wheel sensor could cause the problems I’m having the scanner can’t find it. And that’s one of the permanent codes on the first scan I carried out.

Friend had an Evoque whose battery went flat, after jump starting it every warning light came up and stayed on.
Steering angle sensor had lost its memory and needed recoding.

Anyone know what U201B-54 means. And also what’s the difference between permanent codes and temp apart from the obvious.

Permanent means it is a fault the ecu can see at that moment in time.
Stored/temp means not important or car just saw the error for a short period of time then it went away on its own.
My own car often has various codes stored, none put any dash lights on, webastop low fuel error, seat position sensor, various CAN bus errors, same crap I see on loads of trucks at work all the time, again clear and ignore.
Basically cars are computers on wheels, and just like computers they sulk every now and then.

Thank you I have fault code U201B-54. It’s on the bcm and it says control module calibration 2. Which I think relates to the steering angle sensor. But I’m not really sure 🤷‍♂️

Disco3forum might be your best bet, just join then search the code, loads of good info on there.

But it’s a disco 4.
Yes my fault for not explaining better, like all LRs regardless of model they have parts of other models fitted, for example early d4 commercials had the d3 2.7 engine fitted, many many more examples like this, right back to s1 to s2 to s3 and even s3 into the 90/110 models.
D1 200 to D1 300, same body shell different drivetrain.
D2 pre face lift to D2 face lift, same body shell slightly different engine.
D3 to D4, same body shell different drivetrain.

The d3 forum evolved into later models.
The guy who runs the forums does quite a few forums d3/4/5 though I am not sure if d5 one is totally different forum, there are also others he does.

Evening all just a stab in the dark. The car is going into main dealer Monday. Is it remotely possible for a phone with a virus to pass it onto a vehicle and cause the sort of issues I’ve had. Cheers
