Dear Land Rover people I need your help. My husband is working abroad and he asked me to have his beloved truck greased. My problem is I have forgotten the name of the parts that need doing. All I know is they are the shiny ball shaped things at the back of wheel that make it steer. Please help so I can book it in without looking a fool. They are only on the front. Bess his truck is a prehistoric Discovery tdi. Thank you Trish

Thank you. I know what a track rod end looks like because I had to fetch one. The things I mean are what I would describe as big ball bearing looking about the size of a football. Or the only shiny chrome like things under the truck. Thank you

Thats what he said swivel pins. I am to buy the stuff and ask the guy at our local garage to do it. Any idea what I need to buy and do I say fill up my swivel pins lol. I had a list etc given to me which I lost hence the panic.

Thank you. The one shot sounds familiar. I appreciate your kind help. I will now be able to confront the spotty oik at the garage without being laughed at. Thanks again
