I have a 1996 300 tdi auto, the problem i am having points to the throttle potentiometer, this has been changed and the plug connections checked and cleaned. the motor wants to speed up by itself when statiomary, when driving it wants to splutter and go. sometimes it can drive ok but mostly it appears to drive in surges. i can't seem to explain clearly but hopefully someone will understand.
