Hi. I hope somebody out there's done this and can help.
My Freelander one's got the early low level centre console between the front seats. The bit that covers the handbrake lever and has the rear seat cigarette lighter socket and astray on the back.
I fancy fitting the later type that's much higher, has switches on the front and a cubby hole covered by a hinged lid with a rubber tray. You can also buy a padded arm rest cushion to fit on the top of this.
Is it just a straight replacement using the existing fittings? Is it a simle out 'n' in apart from the wiring for the switches?
I've asked the local main dealer but they can't answer the question with any certainty. Any advice is welcome.
