hi all

I have a 300tdi on a p plate '97 auto I have cleened intercooler and used a can of 10k boost through the air inlet before turbo, and taken off the viscous fan.

I now have a loud whistle/air breathing type of noise only when driving above 2500 revs, dont know why please help???? its a bit like the sound you hear when a boy racer in a soouped up suburu passes you, fairly loud air type whistle, does not happen in neutral and rev to 2500??

Also can you tell me when taking off the fan do you split the blades from the centre alloy looking carrier and then put this back on the pully or just leave the complete fan off??

Many thanks for any help

Sorry , whats 10k boost ?? I do have a nasty idea that if this 10k stuff is a liquid and you poured it down the inlet and then its gone though the turbo , then , I think we have the answer .!!!

When removing the fan you take the whole thing off the pully. as for the whistling, are you sure its not the turbo

i was told to put 10k through mine after id blanked the egr,and yes it worked, loosened all the crud and turbo works better, good stuff actually...
