Hi all, our Discovery TDi cuts out suddenly when driving. I understand (wifey drives it) that all the dash lights come on and the starter motor doesn't turn when trying to restart. She waits a couple of minutes then it starts, then seems to be OK for a couple of days.
Any clues please?

Thanks Martin

It's probably your alarm spider playing up

Thanks for that, but is this something I could possibly repair myself or is it a specialist job?.....Dirty connection?....Is it something only a Land Rover specialist could do or would an ordinary garage be able to handle it?

Thanks again Martin

It is something you can do yourself. There is a bypass wire that I beleive you can get from landrover to overcome this. Try doing a search (use the search button between new posts and quick links at the top of the page. NOT the google one). It has been covered numerous times.

Thanks Ratty, I'll ask my Land Rover dealer to get one, maybe ask for a quote on doing the job,....can't risk my wife breaking down in it!

Thanks so much, Martin
