On holiday in Skegness, come back from Burghley today, one of my rear brake pads has lost its friction material and has started eating the disc, is there anywhere local to get some pads tomorrow. I'm not going to Halfrauds, Kwik Fix or Ripoff Garages, if I can help it.

I should have enough tools with me to the change pads, just need a place to buy them, please.

Halfrauds dont fit - they only sell. Their own make - or Ferodo.

If yu want it tomoz, you aint got much choice.

EBC are very good, but yu wont get them quick.

I'm a commercial vehicle mechanic by trade, I aint going to pay someone to work on my motor. I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of an Independent or a local motor/spares factor.

TMHM are you on the wee drams tonight, I don't wish to be ripped off with Halfrauds prices or pay someone to do the job...I asked if there was a local parts factor or independent dealer....thank for the link by the way...

Halfrauds used to have workshops at their Lakeside store, but not having been near a Halfrauds in years I wouldn't know or care if they repair cars.

Got a business card on you? If you are trade, then you can get a trade card which will give you a discount off - most things are similar to real trade price.

Failing that, head for yell.com or yellow pages and search motor factors.

Found an independent 25 miles away ('Famous Four') who have the pads in stock, they've ordered the disc's for me, should arrive tomorrow, just waiting for a phone call now hopefully in the morning......

None of the local factors seemed to stock the pads.
