Hi
I've got a 2008 freelander 2 and I'm experiencing a loss of power like a spluttering and temperature gauge is showing lower temperature than usual. Any ideas anyone ? Thank you

When did last have a fuel filter, is it low on coolant, have you misfuelled it ?

Hi, not misfuelled and coolant is fine, not had fuel filter changed in ages

Great place to start and probably the cheapest easiest fix if it works

Would the MAF sensor cause the same problems?

potentially but the symptoms you describe sound like it could be a filter.

We need info, when was it last serviced , is the yellow eml light coming on, if so it will produce a code and diagnostics will be needed

Hasn't been serviced for 2 years, no eml light on, no fault lights at all coming on

The temp guage reading lower than normal could point to a failed thermostat. If the engine isn't reaching optimum running temperature that won't help and it could knacker your DPF if one is fitted. Chances are yours doesn't as its a 2008.
