Hi All

To introduce myself, my name is Jake, I'm working on a research project looking at developing the rear seat centre folding armrest in some of the current Land Rover range (Discovery Sport, Discovery, Evoque, Range Rover Sport) to improve the functions/features that are currently offered. The armrest is currently perceived to be too basic for a premium vehicle.

In order to establish how the armrest could be improved I need customer feedback, so what I'm looking to find out are your views on the rear seat armrest in the Land Rover/Range Rover. If you do have a few minutes to give me your thoughts I'd much appreciate it as it would be hugely beneficial to the research project.

I've listed a few questions below as an example of the kind of feedback i'm interested in, however if you have anything else to add please don't hesitate to include it:

- Is it comfortable to use?
- Would you like to see a range of different features? i.e USB charging ports, tablet holder, better cupholders
- If you were to rank your top 3 most desirable armrest features what would they be?
-Do you use the cupholders, or do you find they get in the way?
- Would you like to be able to adjust the armrest? This way you could adjust the height, width and length of the armrest to position it to suit you best

As I said, the above questions are just intended to be an example, if you want to add anything else feel free to. The more critical the better!

Hope to hear from you guys!

Thanks

Jake

I'd like an armrest with an adjustable Land Rover attached please.

Happy to provide my own armrest if it helps :)

Good grief, a comfortable arm rest? I just rest my elbow out of the window, if the window's in the way, I wind it down. There's nothing comfortable in the back at all. But then I don't drive a Range Rover. But if I did, a cup holder might be an essential accessory? In tratters we don't drink and drive.

Jake, out of interest, Do you have an extra leg?. Once knew a Jake that did:D

I'd like a Land Rover with a boot floor and sills.

and a little less rust ...
they come with an auto ferrous dispenser, but it is never stored in the same place, but slides along seams and joints , it seeks the dark and murky corners of the vehicle....

No point asking us lot - we're all paupers who cannot afford posh motors. Ever thought of looking at Merc. BMW, Audi, or any of the other 'premium' marques and just copying them?

I'd like an armrest that doesn't keep breaking down.
No wait, that's the vehicle that it's attached to.

Cupholders that actually do the job, you should be able to cover them when they aren't being used too

Well I like an arm rest that rests my arm.
As I am the one driving the sodding thing and no doubt paying for it, the ones on the back can sod off. They are lucky to get the lift in the first place.

My Range Rover classic armrests are quite good, not that I sit in the back as I can't reach the pedals from there.
