Right good people, bit of advice needed, should i be put off buying a 1995 90 that has done over 180k, its got fsh and had belts ant lots of other mechanical work done and the body, bulk head and chassis are mint, i would never normally buy anything with that many miles on, its a 300 tdi. Thanks good people. :)

If its good and the price is right no reason not to. Just check engine thoroughly and look for oil and cam belt intervals to make sure it's been looked after I'd say

be a fool not to buy it mate,
but do check for the propper chassis numbers eh..

paperwork can be forged so easily now !

The 300tdi should be "good for" 250k supposedly, and i expect with care longer than that.

Worst case, it's a new engine in a few years - £400 - £500 on eBay... so... not mega money really.

Personally, if you do the checks you can and are reasonably satisfied I'd go for it. It's understandable you don't want a lemon, but a good chassis and bulkhead says a lot on those things. Mileage doesn't really mean much to people of this parish, it just needs some care and attention.
